Note: this page covers the Standalone version of DayZ; for information on the Mod, see Mod:Pustoshka. Pustoshka is a village on the larger side, southwest of Vybor and north of Sosnovka.

Whilst not meeting the 'town' prerequisite of dense rowhouses or other services, Pustoshka offers plenty of buildings to loot including a supermarket and several garages. There are also two churches, a graveyard, a water pump, and a fuel station to the south.
Although the town itself is moderately sized and offers decent loot, it frequently gets passed-over by travelers due to its proximity to other, much more valuable loot locations like Vybor, the military base near Veresnik, and Vybor Air Base. That being said, players should exercise caution when in the area.
