Areas where pre-made camps exist can be found all over Chernarus. They are known as camping areas. These locations fall into two categories: Holiday/Summer Camps and Campsites.

General

Although a Survivor could theoretically set up camp anywhere they would like, existing structures and space for a camp make the task of establishing yourself much easier. Conversely, using a known campsite can also make you more susceptible to raids or theft from bandits. When utilizing an already existing camp, there can be advantages in terms of planning for defense and storage, but many of these locations are somewhat isolated from resources such as a supply of water.

Holiday & Summer Camps

There are ten of these locations throughout the map. These are areas which have existing structures such as cabins and medical centers where players can find loot and take shelter.

Campsites

In contrast to the above camps, campsites are completely minimal. These are areas which have only a few benches, a ring of stones for a fireplace, an outhouse, or some combination of those. They may also exist within the ruins of former buildings. They are known to be in the following places:

• Peak of Lysaya Gora (067 013)
• Near the Northwest Airfield (053 040)
• Near Novaya Petrovka (035 014)
• Near Topolka Dam (099 113)
• Near Tulga (123 106)
