Double-barreled break-action rifle loaded with two .308 WIN rounds. — In-game description
The Blaze is a type of ranged weapon in DayZ. Its low recoil and dual barrel configuration allows for immediate follow-up shots making it capable of engaging targets at medium range with ease. The same attributes make it semi-effective in close quarters, limited mostly by having to reload after two shots.
The Blaze can be sawn-off using a hacksaw, losing its iron sights in the process and making it near unusable without the Hunting Scope.

Trivia
- Until 0.55, Blaze was chambered in "7.62x54mmR" which was even named 7.62x51mm for a time (see: 7.62x54mmR Trivia).
- Its Snaploader was not updated until 0.57, making it useless in 0.55 where the Blaze was changed from the old 7.62x54mmR to .308 Winchester.
- The Blaze was called the Blaze 95 Double Rifle before 0.60.
- The Blaze is based on the Blaser BBF-95 over/under double rifle. The real B95 is a single-action rifle that must be cocked after every shot, whereas the Blaze 95 more closely matches the double-action B97 in its ability to fire a second shot immediately.
