General
Vysotovo is the western-most public housing project on the outskirts of Chernogorsk and also easily the largest. Before the fall of Chernarus, Vysotovo and its two sister projects were built to provide affordable housing to the denizens of Chernogorsk. In this regard, Vysotovo seems to have been the most populous residential area, being the location of a school, two grocery stores as well as many other lootable buildings.
As the town is located west of Chernogorsk proper, it is also incredibly close to the Balota Airstrip and the town of Balota. The hill to the southwest of the town offers a good view of the airstrip. There is also an evacuation site to the north of town.
Due to its own moderate level of loot and proximity to other locations known for their high activity levels, Vysotovo is not a safe place to spend much of your time.

- Before BETA, Vysotovo was named Chapaevsk (Чапаевск).
- In real life Chapaevsk is a city in the Samara Oblast, Russia. Population 72,692. Its spelled Chapayevsk in English, but has the same spelling "Чапаевск" in Russian. Its is known as the "town of death" due to the very high toxins present in it.
