Pre-Outbreak[ | ]
The United Nations has no recorded involvement in Chernarus pre-outbreak, even during the Chernarussian Civil War of 2009. After stabilizing their homeland however, elite CDF Guard regiments under UN operational command had been deployed to neighboring Takistan later during Operation Arrowhead to distribute humanitarian aid and supervise the demilitarization of the area, under the UNFORT (UN Forces Takistan) contingent.
Post-Outbreak[ | ]
Items and equipment found within post-outbreak Chernarus suggest that UN peacekeepers became involved in the country later on during the outbreak. Along with other factions in the region, Chernarus appears abandoned by the UN, as they left behind clothing, weapons, supplies and vehicles. The fate of the organization after they abandoned Chernarus is unknown.
