Rain[edit source]

Tents doesn't protect against rain and cold in 1.04...

Location[edit source]

No offense, but I believe, that you mean [this building]. If you do, I have to inform you that this is indeed on the Airfield, which may be seen as a Military Area, but the building itself spawns Residential Loot. At Balota Airstrip just the Tower and the two Hangars spawn Military loot. (And the camp in the south but that is not airfield) - Leucetius 01:05, 14 June 2012 (MDT)

Backpacks in tents[edit source]

In my experience up to 1.5.7 the backpacks in tents would loose their contents after the next server restart. Is this fixed as of 1.7.1.x? -Billw 09:12, 21 June 2012 (MDT)

Got that problem myself, too. Edited.

Conflicting info[edit source]

Ok so the page says both that:

"Tents (as of 1.7.1.5) can have 53 item slots inside. (excluding firearms)"

and:

"A tent can hold a fixed amount of each item-type, within the item-type each item counts as one
(unlike in the Inventory system). A tent can hold up to five backpacks, ten weapons & tools and
fifty general items."

Which one is true?--Serpent10i (talk) 19:30, 28 June 2012 (MST)

Secondly

Can anyone verify the time tents survive after owner dead. I can confirm 3 day+ going on 4 but does anyone have any more info?--Serpent10i (talk) 19:30, 28 June 2012 (MST)

Saving tents[edit source]

Hey anyone know if i were to say place a tent, save it, die, go back to the tent and save it would it be my tent and would it disappear after the 7 days?

No, Im pretty sure it would still disappear if you leave it for longer then 7 days.

Disappearing items[edit source]

WARNING as of patch 1.7.1.5 tents will often reappear empty after server restarts regardless if the save command was used.

Appears to be fixed in 1.7.2.4 yet still need confirmation

-It still deleted our items after server restart.

I have found that if someone else places items in a tent owned by you, you have to save the tent yourself or when the server is reset items placed will be deleted. This has worked every time i tried it, but i would like to have someone else confirm this finding. 02:32, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

I've put things inside a tent before that was not mine, and saved the tent myself. the items were there after a server restart. the owner of the tent did not resave. no items were missing. - EMU

I was on a server with a car and 3 tents. 1 tent I know was placed by me and was touched by only me and the two tents of my mates have vanished, but just before the reset the tent was empty. 2 restarts and tents / car are not appearing - AUG 5 2012

do tents duplicate?[edit source]

Hi! I pitched a tent in the middle of a big forest, outside the crowded areas. Filled my stuff in there, saved, and went on to the next loot. A day later, my tent was empty, and a second tent was pitched right next to it (empty, too). Did someone find it, and flipped me of with an obsolete tent? (which is hard, because you actually have to know where it was, and even then I had to search a thick brush, to find it again?)

Its one of the smaller servers with usually far less than 10 players. Is it useful to wait for a server restart, or is my stuff just gone? I can pack in both tents (one I did definitly NOT pitch). Shortly after the server stopped. Check it as "alpha state"? --77.180.165.163 13:49, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, if you can pack both, they are both saved to your ID. I've seen this happen before but usually the contents duplicated as well. Plus I thought a lot of these issues were fixed. Perhaps someone hijacked your stuff, and then the server duplicated it? happenstance! Smokie (talk) 15:03, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
