General
Solnichniy, or "Solni" for short, is located middle on the east coast. It acts as one of the spawn points for new characters, and as such sees a high amount of foot traffic and is often already looted due to its popularity. It is a mid-sized town without a hospital or supermarket like the bigger cities along the coast, but it still has a fair amount of worthwhile buildings to check.
North of Solnichniy on the way to Berezino is a factory that can yield decent loot, and hidden behind the town against the mountains is one of Chernarus's only quarries.
