The Sewing Kit is a type of equipment in DayZ.
It is a repair kit that allows the survivor to restore lost durability on Clothing items in Damaged or Badly Damaged condition to Worn condition.
To use the Sewing Kit: the player must hold the item that needs to be repaired in the hands and drag the Sewing Kit to the Combine slot then hold down the left mouse button to repair the item.
This item can be used a limited number of times, since its condition will degrade with each use.
The sewing kit can also be used to stop bleeding by dragging the kit to your hands and selecting Stitch my wound to stop the bleeding. However, this has a 30% chance to cause a Wound Infection, if the sewing kit is not disinfected with Alcoholic Tincture, Disinfectant Spray or Iodine Tincture.
