Paper is a piece of equipment in DayZ Standalone. Papers are used to make Fireplaces and write notes. In order to write notes on a piece of paper, the player must also have a Pen available to write with.

Pieces of paper are also able to be torn out of Books in addition to being found on their own as loot.
