P1 was the first locked-breech pistol to use a double-action/single-action. The shooter can chamber a round, use the de-cocking lever to safely lower the hammer without firing the round and carry the weapon loaded.

The P1 is a semi-automatic handgun chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum round and feeds from an 8-round, single stack, single row feed magazine. Solely due to inability to equip a Pistol Flashlight and magazine capacity, 8 rounds versus 15 rounds, the P1 is technically inferior to the CR75. Since the 8Rnd P1 Magazine is much more common than the 15Rnd CR75 Magazine, it is significantly easier to acquire a functioning weapon.

Trivia

• The Walther Pistole 1 is a post-war(since 1963) variant of the German Walther Pistole 38. Used by both German and foreign police, as well as the German Bundeswehr, it features an aluminium alloy frame, a steel slide, a SA/DA trigger system, a decocker safety and a heel magazine release.
• The P1 Currently has the second longest ingame description with 181 characters, just behind the SKS with 216 characters.
