Like many legacy towns in Chernarus, Novy Sobor has a water pump and a church. It also features a police station. The town is an area somewhat frequented by bandits, due to its proximity to the more loot-bearing Stary Sobor and the fact that it lies along popular travel routes to Vybor Air Base.
Nearby on the road leading northeast is a junkyard full of abandoned vehicles that often spawn loot as well. To the south is Holiday Camp Nadezhda.
