Skalisty Island is a large Island south of Krutoy Cap and east of Kamyshovo. It is part of the same chain of islands as Otmel.

Skalisty Island spawns very little loot and is rarely traveled to by players. Many new players will swim to the Island out of curiosity. Due to it's secluded location, some players will opt to stash equipment on the Island, while using either a boat or Helicopter to access it - This is not a bad idea, as it is unlikely that other players will find the base unless they themselves have a Helicopter.
If you intend to swim to the Island, bring either Heatpacks or materials to start of Fire, as the long swim will drop your temperature to extremely low levels.
