Semi-automatic, integrally-suppressed pistol, fed from a detachable magazine. Stealthy and lethal at short range. Uses .22 LR rounds. — In-game description
The MK II is a semi-automatic integrally-suppressed handgun, chambered in .22 LR Rounds.
Overview
The MK II is one of the weakest pistols in the game, as the .22 LR is the weakest cartridge currently in the game taking numerous bodyshots to take down an infected. Hunting animals is also not recommended as the .22 LR rounds are too weak for killing an animal in a reasonable amount of time (except for chickens as these are always 1 hit). With a 10 round mag and the weakest cartridge in the game the MK II is one of the worst pistols for PVP which makes it a hard weapon to use effectively. The only upside being that every shot you fire has a great potential of applying the bleed effect. This means you can mortally wound a survivor and make him bleed out, as they can't bandage fast enough to stop the bleeding if you hit at least 5-7 shots.
(NOTE: This is against a player without armor, as armor gives you more protection)

Trivia
- The MK II is based on the real-world AWC Amphibian S integrally-suppressed variant of the Ruger Mk II Target .22 LR pistol, notably used by United States Navy SEALs before Mk II production ceased in 2005. The Amphibian variant has seen numerous iterations and continues to be produced with later Ruger models.
- The MK II was introduced as the Amphibia S in v0.42.116181 on 19 Mar 2014, alongside the Sporter 22, CR75 and the 1911.
