Trivia
- The M70 Tundra is based on the Winchester Model 70. An American made hunting rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO/.308 Winchester, making it perfectly suitable to hunt big game. It was also adopted by the USMC during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The most notable person to use the Model 70 was legendary sniper Carlos Hathcock in Vietnam, his rifle was chambered in .30-06 Sprinfield and his rifle is on display at the Quantico, Virginia Marine Corps Sniper Museum.
- Before 1.02, the M70 Tundra was named the Winchester Model 70.
- Before 0.57, this weapon was labeled as the Winchester Model 70 Alaskan. This was erroneous, as the Alaskan variant does not offer .308 Winchester as a caliber, and was later shown in game simply as the Winchester Model 70. Most variants of the current Model 70 are chambered in .308, including the Super Grade, Coyote Light, Featherweight and Ultimate Shadow variants.
