“Camouflage suit used to completely conceal the wearer in a natural environment. Makes it impossible to wear a backpack. — In-game description
The Ghillie Suit is a piece of camouflage clothing in DayZ Standalone which fully covers the player's body. It can be painted using Spraypaint. Wearing one occupies the backpack slot preventing you from equipping one, but occupies only 30 slots and can easily fit into endgame backpacks, such as the Hunting, Mountain, and Combat. It can also be broken down to recover half of its ingredients (five Burlap Strips and two Netting).

Crafting[edit | edit source]
The Ghillie Suit can be spraypainted Green or Black to colourize it:
Notes[edit | edit source]
- As of 1.0.150000 when you make a Ghillie Suit it will be stuck in tan as there are no spray paint cans in the game.
- The color of the Ghille camouflage line of clothing (as of 1.0.150000) may be changed to woodland if placed in an article of clothing or a backpack, then firing a weapon to damage the clothing. When checking the inventory of the item after its been damaged you will see that the camouflage changed to woodland green.
- It has been rumored that damaging the Ghillie will change it's color to mossy but this does not work 100% of the time.
