|“||The flashbang features a magnesium-based pyrotechnic charge inside a thin aluminum case, contained within a perforated cast steel body. The pyrotechnic charge produces a subsonic deflagration, minimizing the blast effects. It is intended to be thrown into enclosed spaces to distract and temporarily incapacitate enemy personnel for easier capture, or when risk of collateral damage during urban warfare or hostage rescue operations contravenes the employment of traditionally lethal and destructive fragmenting high explosive ordnance.||„|
The Flashbang is a non-lethal explosive device used to temporarily disorient an enemy's senses. It is designed to produce a blinding flash of light and loud noise without causing permanent injury. It can however result in a chipped or fractured leg if thrown closely enough to someone, as well as minor blood loss.
Along with all other explosives except the Land Mine, the Flashbang is currently not spawning or functional in Beta.

- How to Use
Prior to throwing, the grenade must have its pin pulled in order to arm the device, which is done by utilizing the action button (by default). Grenades currently don't detonate inside the thrower's hand or next to other grenades, even when the pin is pulled. Throwing a Grenade will result in a high arc that can be difficult to predict without practice. It is advised to use grenades outside, as most walls and floors will block the damage of the explosion. The use of a grenade on an entrenched enemy/player can cause instant death, unconsciousness, injury, or hearing loss/blurred vision that can make flanking or charging the target easier or more effective. Careful judgement about your distance to the explosion needs to be considered especially if you are throwing without cover as the damaging radius of the grenade is around 6.5m. Grenades only deal damage to the legs and feet of their victims. The distance the grenade is thrown at is able to hurt you so in order to avoid this throw from behind cover or run away from the direction thrown.
