The village of Polesovo is located in the far north of Chernarus, directly south of Stary Yar.

Polesovo extends vertically from the northern highway to a forest farther to the north. It is really two separate sections - a barnyard and a village center - which are connected by a paved road. If you continue up the road to the northeast, you'll eventually reach Kamensk; along the way, you'll pass Lysaya Gora.
