Note: this page covers the Standalone version of DayZ; for information on the Mod, see Mod:Khelm. Khelm is a small town in the northeast of Chernarus, and is a suburb of the coastal city of Berezino. One of the three airfields, the Krasnostav Airstrip, lies to the north and a summer camp is to the west.

Due to a number of changes with spawn points and the nearby airfield, Khelm has lost much of the prominence it once held. It was once used as a staging area for group raids on the airfield, but that location is now entirely civilian and has become a much less desirable target. In addition, spawn points once again include the south coast of Chernarus and therefore the number of people of people in the vicinity of Khelm and nearby Berezino is much lower.
While Khelm has lost some of its importance, it has actually become a safer location to loot as a result.
