In DayZ Standalone, Clothing refers to any equipment, fabric, or material that a player's character can wear on his or her person for visual and/or protective purposes. Clothing can be collected all over Chernarus, and is typically found in areas appropriate to the type of clothing (i.e. military clothing in military areas).
Clothing Stats
Almost all clothing in DayZ Standalone provides some type of benefit to the wearer. Below are descriptions of each type of stat associated with clothing, which should help you make an informed decision about what to wear based on your needs.
Protective
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Ballistic | Reduces incoming damage from both projectile AND melee attacks. |
Bleed | Reduces the chance the wearer will bleed after sustaining a melee attack. |
Shock | Reduces incoming Shock damage from both projectile AND melee attacks. |
Biological | Reduces the chance the wearer will become infected with or become carrier for a transmissible disease.* |
Environmental
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Insulation | How much heat the clothing helps retain. |
Absorbency | How much water the clothing will absorb if the wearer gets wet. |
Utility
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Capacity | How much storage space the clothing has. |
Weight | How heavy the clothing is. |
Clothing Slots
A player's character has 10 slots available for clothing. Each slot corresponds to a part of the player character's body and allows for a specific type of clothing to be worn there. The slots are:
