12ga shell with one rifled slug. Used in shotguns. In-game description
12ga Rifled Slugs are a type of ammunition in DayZ.
Slug shells fire a single projectile similar to a bullet which retains all kinetic energy when fired. This results in great range and damage. The disadvantage is it decreases your chances of hitting your target and can only hit one target compared to 12ga 00 Buckshots.

- This ammunition was removed from the loot economy sometime in version 0.30 or 0.32, but players were able to continue carrying existing copies of it for quite some time after. Eventually it was made so that the ammo would no longer load into shotguns, and in the end any remaining copies were eliminated with a full character wipe accompanying an update.
- It would show up again by accident during the 0.56 Experimental period, but was quickly removed once again.
- Beginning with build 0.62.143640, Slug rounds were spawning on the Experimental branch as rare potential contents in all sizes of Gift Boxes. They were fully functional, and could be loaded into the same gun simultaneously with Buckshot shells resulting in a mix of shell types in the magazine.
- With the release of the 1.0 update they now spawn in the world again.
