Grezvany13 () 18:53, 12 May 2012 (MDT) - Actually, everything inside ARMA2 has copyright including the weapons/items used. The biggest problem is that even BI isn't the holder of the copyright, but the manufacturers themselfs. By including the AMRA2 logo we let everyone know that we didn't made those weapons. Although some copyright notices at the website and at the images themselfs would be a good idea.

I think it would be impossible to get all the (in-game) weapons/items as images which are 100% copyright free, so this is the best (I think) we can do.

ive been trying to add stuff to so many sections of the websites and provide good info i apologise that there have been some mistakes with punctuation and capitals, there were alot of terrible edits that i was trying to clean up

As time goes on with the wiki i'm sure we will iron out all the little niggles and ill do my best to contribute a good information.

Also as with copyright, DAY-Z is terrible with it. I'm pretty sure rocket has no permissions for the guns, vehicle names or brands of food and drink he is using. I also think that BI will come out publically backing this mod in the not too distant future, however this is speculation.

I didn't see any images for the cross-hairs / aiming reticule, so I think I still need to upload an image from my screenshots for that. I used 300px instead of 200, tell me what you think (change it to 200 if that's what you think is best :) I'm trying to figure out a way to add in a small image of the clip, that doesn't look terrible, lol. I used the Clip_ prefix to upload the DMR mag image, is that correct?

I used Scope_ because I wasn't sure on the prefix. Also, let me know how the size looks. (I guess I could have done something like Weapon_DMR_Scope) I was thinking about doing some very short videos of the gun in play, uploading to my youtube, and linking the video in the general description. Not sure how you feel about that, so let me know :)

Xkcd () 09:31, 28 May 2012 (MDT) - re: redirects. I just find it very useful that as soon as I can just type Pain and click "Go" without having to search through all these articles. It also improves the ability of search engines like Google to find the correct page for a certain term.

[] Incorrect information is being added to the DayZ wiki

Hi SEI,

I have made several edits to the wiki in which incorrect info has been added, ive adjusted info about the Huey and other things back to what is correct but i really think we need to further limit people editing pages, things are getting out of control.

Currently the weapons page has a "copenhagen" under pistols? WTF?!

and a M4A1 Holo SD has been added to rifles which simply doesnt exist in game and is a hacked gun.

I'm aware of the current bug, but I don't see a fast solution right now. I already gave a dirty fix to Smokie (and I'll discuss this with him) to truncate the data table and purge all the weapons (and cities?) with a cronjob. I'm also looking for alternate methods to do the same, although those are a lot harder to configure and use than this extension. I'll need to test them and create a simple howto for the editors. Don't mind flooding the recent changes. - Maybe keep updates as minor updates. - There is a option to hide minor updates in the changelog page. - NOTE: i use "Use enhanced recent changes (requires JavaScript)" in user preferences/Recent changes. Then all edits to a page is grouped and collapsed = nice overview! - Keep up your good work! - () 08:39, 12 June 2012 (MDT)

Hey SEi, of all maps ive tested this is by far the best one according to me, so you should take a look and see if you want to implement it on the site.(It's faster, more detailed and you can switch from 3D/in game map aswell) so tell me what you think :).

I have uploaded 3 images, but foolishly forgot about adding "Vehicles_" tag in the file names.

Is it possible to change the file names? If not, can you delete the files and I will upload again with the correct file names.

    I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on one of my .16 versions of media wiki though so cannot be positive. If I update and reproduce it in one of my Sandboxes I'll report back again.

  • I installed MediaWiki 1.19.0, all of the same Parser Hook extensions that are installed here, and still cannot reproduce the issue there. I can reproduce it here consistently though. Is the JSpoiler.php modified in anyway from the original?

How do I get permission to upload a picture? I'm working on a new page for as I found out it can be used to cook meat. Thought that would be important for users who don't have a to know.
