The UAZ-469 is a standard issue military all-terrain vehicle manufactured by Ulyanovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant). It is also frequently used by police units.

The design is a very reliable and capable 4x4. It has gained huge popularity within Russia as well as former Soviet republics. The car's simplicity, easy maintenance and extremely inexpensive spare parts allow the car to last much longer than more expensive and complicated Western-design 4x4s.

The UAZ can be found in a second color variant, with the name "(Red) UAZ."

In the Russian Federation, the UAZ is known as the "Bobik".
