The Medium Tent is a type of equipment in DayZ Standalone. When deployed it can be used to store items beyond the capacity of what the player is able to carry.
General
Tents can be pitched anywhere on the map. Once deployed, they offer massive amounts of storage, which can be used to store useful items such as weapons, tools, backpacks, and other important supplies. Tents can be carried in a rolled-up form by the player, or placed in the player's inventory; however, this item is very tall, at 2x6 slots, so it will only fit in larger backpacks.
Tents are temporary structures that are persistent, and therefore tied to a server. Once deployed, they cannot be taken with you to another server, nor can any of the items inside. One must therefore empty and dismantle the tent to move it. Tents and the items inside of them do not get deleted when the server restarts. To access the tent's inventory, walk inside of it and open your inventory screen. Anyone can access the tent's inventory, so placing it in a location far from prying eyes is advisable.
