Alternative Ammo?

Is there any other ammo in the game (perhaps some easier to find) that can be used in this gun? I've been reluctant to drop the gun after my ammo was depleted, hoping to find more, but I figure if I find more ammo at a chopper I'll likely find the gun to go with it, so it's not worth carrying around. I saw in-game that it's 9x18mm, and it seems that I have seen other ammo in the game of that caliber/size, so I'm hoping that other rounds can be converted, much like the 45 ACP and 1911 clips.
