The M16-A2 is a "Tier 3" assault rifle in DayZ.
Overview
The M16-A2 is a weapon suited to short-medium range firing. The high rate of fire in burst mode makes it suitable accurate shots at low to medium ranges, and its semi-auto fire mode allows for greater control at further distances, however long range firing is not recommended as you only have access to iron-sights.

- The M16-A2 is based upon the real life M16A2 rifle, chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO. Issued shortly after the Vietnam War in 1982. This rifle was primarily burst-fire only, as soldiers in Vietnam tended to squeeze the trigger and mag-dump mag after mag. With the burst mode they intended for better hit probability as the shooter had to manually pull the trigger for multiple shots.
