The Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ) is a political movement that existed in Chernarus prior to the Zombie outbreak, it was also the main belligerent group during the Civil war in Chernarus. Their Communist ideology is linked to the nostalgia of Chernarus's former state of being apart of the Soviet Union (USSR).

Before the outbreak[ | ]
Not much is know about the Movement of the Red Star but there are multiple references to it that can be found throughout Chernarus. A billboard found in some cities and towns actually features a political advertisement about the movement and it is possible to find a Beret that has a Red Star on it, likely worn by the members of the party/movement.
Civil War[ | ]
The Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (Chernorusskoye Dvizhenie Krasnoy Zvezdy, ChDKZ), or Chedaki, is a political movement founded on the grounds of the Chernarussian civil war in 2009. The newly formed movement is about the ideology of Marxism-Leninism. This new revolutionary movement is the start or origin of the civil war in 2009, their goals were to turn Chernarus to a Communist/Socialist state as it did prior to being a Soviet Socialist Republic of the Soviet Union. They Succeeded in only taking most of South Zagoria and the Island of Utes which they shortly gave up on after the UN and United States Marine Corps helped take it back.
They also staged a bombing in Red Square, Moscow Russia, killing dozens and fooled the Russian Government into believing that the attack was done by National Party a underground group which opposed both sides of the conflict, The Russian Federation was not happy and willingly gave excessive amounts of weapons and vehicles only furthering the conflict, the political movement was forced into taking action upon it's Chernarussian brothers of the Chernarussian Defence Forces. The movement also came into contact with the United Nations and the Russian Armed Forces.

The ChDKZ has a mixture of different military uniforms, some maybe older soviet equipment, but typically use BDU pants, hunting jackets, and their official beret.
