Petrovka is a small town in the far north just above the Northwest Airfield. Since most players that have traveled up that far north are already well geared this isn't a very desirable destination. Comes in handy when you need to fill up your water bottle but not much use otherwise.
In real life, Petrovka is the name of several villages in Russia, as well as a village in Armenia. It is also the name of a street in central Moscow.

One note of importance is to check the hills / forest north of the town, for many players tend to hide tents or vehicles within the map area, in that wooded area.
