The Hotel is a unique building that can only be found in two locations in the entire map, it is commonly known as the "International Hotel". The main hotel in Chernogorsk was originally not destroyed in Arma 2, but was altered in DayZ Standalone to fit the theme of an apocalypse. A civilian passenger plane crashed into the International Hotel for unknown reasons, possibly as a result of an infection taking place during the plane's flight.

The International Hotel was built in an unspecified date during the Soviet era, right on Victory Square in Chernogorsk. During the Chernarussian Civil war in 2009, the Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star used the hotel as a place for residence.[1]
