Elektrozavodsk, "Elektro" for short, is a town located on the southern coast of Chernarus, east of Chernogorsk. Many building varieties can be found here, and it is a hub of activity due to both its size and its role as a spawn location.
The name is derived from "Electric/Industrial Factory" in Russian.
General[ | ]
Well-known as a dangerous and gritty place, the city of Elektrozavodsk can be unforgiving. It is comprised mostly of multi-story buildings and complexes, resulting in short lines of sight and close-quarters encounters. As a large city, it also tends to spawn an equally large number of Infected. Extreme caution should be exercised at all times here, to say the least.
Everything a new survivor would need can be found here thanks to the wide variety and a sheer number of buildings. Nearby is a power plant that serves most of the region.
It is the namesake of the evacuation site just south-west of the church.
Threat Level[ | ]
Being that Elektrozavodsk is a large city, it has a reasonably high level of risk associated with looting it. However, this risk is amplified by Elektrozavodsk being a spawn location, and a hub of travel for bandits and fresh spawns alike. This city is very desirable to loot due to the number of buildings and a variety of loot available. Thus making Elektrozavodsk a target of bandit activity. Players should be very careful when in and near Elektrozavodsk.
Power Plant[ | ]
This plant is the only one of its kind in Chernarus, the electricity it produces travels all over the countryside via high-powered lines that pass between sub-stations and eventually make their way to end stations in various towns. The power lines can be used as navigational aid when traveling inland.
